Pop-up Zoom storytimes

Check my calendar for these! Stories, songs, puppets. If you’re trying to get on and are having trouble, check your timezone.

Here’s the link. If you feel inclined to send a small donation via Paypal to priscilla@priscillahowe.com or Venmo @Priscilla-Howe, that would be swell, but certainly not obligatory. Or use this Paypal tipjar.

If you know of others who might be interested, feel free to share this info.

School and library virtual shows

Live online storytelling from the comfort of your classroom, library, homeschool group or other organization, any time of year.

  • Lower cost

  • Easy peasy setup

  • No travel fees

  • No corralling kids

What equipment is needed?

Smartboard, computer projector, laptop or phone. Priscilla sends a link to a Zoom meeting, you click the link and bingo, we're on! If you’re doing hybrid teaching, Priscilla can accommodate up to 100 screens, so a smartboard for the in-person classes and individual monitors should work. Yes, hybrid does work!

How does it work?

If there is no date listed below, ask Priscilla for a custom date (she may also invite other schools to join in on a custom date). She will send the Zoom link and an invoice. On the date of the performance, show up around 15 minutes before the start time.

Is it interactive?

Sort of. Due to the state of technology, Priscilla mutes the audience during the performances, but rest assured, she knows how to connect! Participation in live-streamed events works via chat box or the kids act out suggestion (for example, if she asks what animals a character talks to, the kids might act out monkey movements). Let Priscilla know if you want a Q and A session at the end (grades 3-12)
